Should A Pair Of Your Old Jeans Be Used As A Motivator For Weight Loss?
Many people would like to lose weight and regain their former body shape back, but this is not an easy task, no matter how you put it. In order to lose weight, you need to change your entire lifestyle, meaning that you need to adopt a healthy and balanced diet, curve your cravings for unhealthy foods and snakes, and do exercises on a constant basis. But this is easier said than done because many people lack the motivation needed to start and stay on the right track until the desired results are achieved. Famous people, for example, can be great motivators because they have a great power of influence over the people that follow them all the time. So, when seeing a celebrity having the will to change something to make their lives better, you know you need to do the same. Many stories revolved around Rebel Wilson’s weight loss, as media and fans were filled with admiration when this plus-size actress decided to adjust her body weight. She already looks much better and continues with the improvement.
Another great motivator would be keeping one of your old pair of jeans, as we all know that we can’t trick a pair of jeans to get them on if we are not fit for their size. But, this doesn’t fit all cases because if you haven’t been able to fit in those jeans for 10 years already, then it’s best to clean your wardrobe and make room for other flattering clothes. This should not be something that is meant to bring you down. On the contrary, letting those decade-old jeans means that you are ready to move on and look spectacular in more beautiful and modern outfits. Setting realistic goals and using a healthy diet and exercising to get there will certainly be helpful and will allow you to wear your favorite pair of jeans or dress.
If your pair of jeans is more recent, as you gained weight due to a sedentary lifestyle and the consumption of unhealthy foods, then you can definitely keep a pair as a motivator. It works so much better than a scale, which displays your weight in numbers. An old pair of jeans, on the other hand, will give you a clearer perspective over your entire body. Seeing that the button of your pair of jeans is one inch closer to closing than it was a week ago, for example, will definitely be very rewarding, knowing that you will soon be able to wear that pair. After all, weight loss is not just about numbers, like pounds on a scale and counting calories, but feeling good about yourself and about the fact that you are doing something that will improve your health, boost your self-confidence, and make you feel more confident in your own strengths. In other words, you will feel happier. So, using an old pair of jeans to measure your progress during your weight loss program and to see them as a goal that needs to be reached is not a reason for frustration, as it should be the fuel that will keep you going.
