Stories That Matters

Every Thought Matters

Beside The Reddish Walls Of Physics Department

(On graduating from KMC, University of Delhi- An Ode to college life)

After completing class 12 and fulfilling some of Dad’s expectations,

Life chose me this place to live out my forthcoming ecstasies and passions.

Nervousness floated as I, on my first day, sat beside a ‘new face’.

Three years hence, don’t know how to part ways with this place;

As that ‘new face’ has now become the most alluring and an undetachable mate.

Would once again love to shun my night’s rest,

For pasting posters throughout the campus to make grand the year’s fest.

Engrossing discussions on college elections I’ll highly miss,

When those memories of my part in it will come to hiss.

Utter childish satisfaction when the CRO showed the correct wave,

For the circuit that I made, and I proving myself brave is something for which, I’ll always crave.

The college canteen – where I, with mates sat and ate and chided one among us for his new date.

Those days were really great.

Equally indebted in the memory is the Sports Complex, where every morning we sat the ball rolling.

The adrenaline rushed more and more gruesomely and our coach didn’t let go, until our limbs gave way to fatigue and we sat crawling.

The diet that we received from college after game hours was the best thing that ever happened to us.

Indeed that sums up the college life in a crux.

Three cross Three Sixty five, and

Having seen companions unable to quench their thirst for downloading data from the college wifi,

With a heavy heart and unwilling to leave, but have to, Ba-Bye.
