Om Puri, The Man On The “Other Side” of Indian Cinema
Veteran actor Om Puri passed away at the age of 66, on the morning of 6th January 2017, due to a severe cardiac arrest.
Born on 18 October 1950, the actor was known for his outstanding performances in not just Indian but also Pakistani, British, and Hollywood movies.
He never was a mainstream actor, but always outshined in almost all of his films. He was the hero of the “other side” of Indian Cinema, where brilliant actors like him are never counted in the mainstream. Nonetheless, this never changes their excellence!
Condolences poured in for the actor on social media, starting from PM Modi to the film and sports fraternity.
