This term has come into mainstream use only recently, though it was popular in certain communities from a long time. To throw shade means to insult someone, but in a subtle or a pleasant manner. Like saying something negative in a pleasing way. For example- “I love how you wear those red pants without fearing the bull.” This would be considered a shade!

It’s mostly used to call someone whose lying, or to tell someone to go away because that person’s being talking non sense. Though it can take on many more meanings, like dodging someone. Kind of Like “Say Man, Carry On With That Non sense.” This word comes from the song “Mercy”, by Kanye West.

7)  TBT

People used to post old photos on all social media sites every Thursday, and moreover started using the phrase TBT in everyday conversation to refer to past events and recall them. Like TBT to that time when we went on that trekking trip.

8)  DEAD

This is an extreme word, which in itself points out to an emotion where people don’t find any other word suitable. Like, using this word to signify an overdose of some daring act or where people are so overcome with emotion that they can’t say anything else. Example- He stood up in the middle of the conference and walked off saying his boss’s speech is too boring. Dead!

We all have heard out people telling us to “chill out”. So, someone is said to have “zero chill” when they go absolutely all over on something!

Though the exact meaning states something in a bad sense, but the slang says quite the opposite. The slang, is used for something which is insanely good. Like, “that Arijit Singh concert man, awesomely sickening!”
